Level 1 Swimming Teacher (Assisting)

Pay / Salary:  Assistant teacher: £8.69,  Administration: £6.70-£8.21

Job Description: 

1          Job Title                       Assistant Swim Teacher              

2          Reports to                     Activities Manager

3          Qualifications             Minimum Swim England Level 1 (or equivalent)                                            

4          Job purpose               To assist in the teaching of swimming with enthusiasm to a range of ages and abilities.

                                                 To ensure each pupil enjoys a fulfilling learning experience

5   Principal accountabilities           

  • To liase with, and support the Swimschool Team, in order to ensure delivery of good swim teaching
  • To follow the directions of the allocated swim teacher, working with sub-groups, individuals etc and demonstrating skills/strokes etc, in and out of the pool
  • To assist in the development of interesting and varied teaching programmes to maximise customer satisfaction
  • To keep abreast of the industry best practise in the disciplines taught
  • To attend all relevant in-house training
  • To prepare lesson plans and keep accurate records of lessons taught and candidate progress  (Administration rate)
  • To be of smart appearance at all times.
  • To act in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and Normal Operational Plans
  • According to the needs of the Centre to carry out other unspecified tasks commensurate with capability, experience and job title

Level 2 Swimming Teacher

Pay / Salary:                            Teaching: £12.50ph 

                                                 Administration: £6.70-£8.21

Job Description:

  • To develop interesting and varied teaching programmes to maximise customer satisfaction
  • To keep abreast of the industry best practise in the disciplines taught
  • To attend all relevant in-house training
  • To prepare lesson plans and keep accurate records of lessons taught and candidate progress
  • To act in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and Normal Operational Plans
  • To be of smart appearance at all times.
  • To compete all necessary administration tasks as set out by your line manager and in accordance with Swim England guidelines within a reasonable timeframe (Administration rate)
  • According to the needs of the Centre to carry out other unspecified tasks commensurate with capability, experience and job title

Cleaner

We are looking for a part-time cleaner to join our cleaning team; the perfect candidate will have great attention to detail, be consistant in thier work and take pride in a job well done.

Hours:                                                    18 hours average per week vairiable shifts covering 06:00am-01:00am including some weekends and bank holidays 

                                                                Oppotunity to increase hours through sickness and holiday cover at your discression       

Pay / Salary:                                           £6.70-£8.21 per hour 

1              Job Title                                 Cleaner 

2              Reports to                               Departmental Duty Manager / Duty Manager(s)

3              Qualifications                        Experience of multi-area and large scale cleaning

                                                                First Aid at Work (desirable)

                                                                Health & Safety and COSHH training desirable

4              Job purpose                          To keep all areas of the Centre clean and tidy                                                                             

5              Principal accountabilities

  • To perform a range of cleaning duties throughout the Centre as agreed with the Duty Manager
  • To check and maintain cleaning material stock on a regular basis
  • To ensure deliveries are correct and paperwork is signed                                            
  • To be aware of and adhere to operational systems and procedures
  • To provide advice and guidance to customers to ensure they have an enjoyable visit
  • Other duties as directed by the Duty Manager commensurate with capabilities
