First Aid at Work
The First Aid at Work Course is the highest level of first aid training available for the workplace. This course is designed to meet the first aid requirements of higher risk working environments such as factories, hotels, leisure centres, engineering environments and food processing plants. If you think that your workplace is lower risk then the shorter 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work Course may be suitable for you.

Valid For: 3 Years
What does the course cover?
- Role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Aims and priorities of a first aider
- Information on first aid equipment
- Primary and secondary assessment
- Resuscitation for an adult casualty
- The recovery position
- Choking
- Dealing with suspected spinal injuries
- How to deal with minor/major bleeding and shock
- Treatment for burns, head injuries, broken bones and eye injuries
- Dealing with seizures

Emergency First Aid at Work
The Emergency First Aid at Work Course is available for workplaces who require trained first aiders but do not necessarily require the detail of the 3-day First Aid at Work Course.
This course is designed to meet the first aid requirements of lower risk working environments such as offices, shops and food outlets.
If you think that your workplace is higher risk then the longer 3 day First Aid at Work Course would be more suitable for you.

Valid For: 3 Years

Paediatric First Aid
Paediatric First Aid Training is mandatory for anyone working within the early years environment, for example nurseries and primary schools.
This course is designed for anyone who looks after children and young people, and will allow you to be better prepared in case an emergency arises.

Course Length: 2 Days
Course Cost: £145.00 inc. VAT
Valid For: 3 Years
What does the course cover?
- Role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
- Aims and priorities of a first aider
- Information on first aid equipment
- Primary assessment
- Providing first aid for an infant/child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
- Providing first aid for an infant/child with a suspected fracture/dislocation
- Providing first aid for an infant/child with a head/neck/back injury
- Providing first aid for an infant/child with conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose

Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Would you know what to do if your child was choking? Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course will give you all the knowledge you need to be able to assess and respond to a paediatric emergency, at home or in the workplace.
If you are working within the early years environment, for example nurseries and primary schools, Paediatric First Aid training is mandatory and our two day Paediatric First Aid Course would be more suitable.

Save a Baby's Life - First Aid Workshop
Would you know what to do if your baby stopped breathing? Carn Brea can give you the basic life support and emergency first aid skills should you need them. Perfect for parents, expectant parents, grandparents and family members of new born babies.
There is no exam, but a basic completion certificate will be issued at the end of the workshop. Parents are welcome to bring babies up to 12 months old along.
Please Note: This is not a professional qualification. Anyone who works with children would need to undertake either our Paediatric First Aid Course or Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course listed above.
