Carn Brea Leisure Centre remains closed during Covid-19 easing

Posted on 24 Jun 2020 in General

By now most of you will of heard the announcement from the Prime Minister outlining the next stages of 'easing the lockdown' and what this means for our industry, it is now clear unfortunately that indoor gyms and pools will not reopen on the 4th July as previously referenced.

Whilst today's outcome for indoor sports leisure facility was not what we had hoped for, the Prime Minister has given the go ahead for a range of outdoor activities to be re-instated. This has opened a range of options up to us which we are looking to explore over the coming days.

In terms of planning for re-opening we hope to be back in touch shortly with our already detailed plans of how it will work/ what to expect and a scheduled reopening date. When the centre is in a position to open its indoor activities or outdoor facilities we will be following all guidelines as dictated by HSE and governing bodies relevant to our sector to ensure a safe environment for our employees and users.

We hope to be back in touch soon with some more positive news on a return to exercise.
