Want your children to be safe around the water?
This fun and educational course offers children the opportunity to learn life saving skills in a fun environment, with fully qualified instructors.
The scheme is developed by the Royal Lifesaving Society UK, the leading provider for water safety education, rescue techniques and resuscitation.
There are 3 stages; Bronze, Silver and Gold and each stage is subdivided into 3 levels. Each stage is roughly 1 school term, and a child can enter the scheme at any point and they progress at their own pace. Items can be signed off as they are completed, without the need to complete all elements in one session.
We also
offer Speciality Awards to add variety and flexibility - these awards cover topics such as Life Support, Choking and First Aid.
The programme also teaches children how to work as part of a team, and builds their interpersonal skills; encouraging them to interact within the group and with other people.
The course is practical and includes pool work as well as classroom and outdoor sessions to ensure a variety and range of activities.
Rookie Lifeguard is open to children aged 8-14. Children must be able to swim 50 metres comfortably, and tread water for 1 minute.
