Carn Brea Pool Admissions Policy
The following guidelines apply regarding the admission on young children to the pool:
  • Unaccompanied children under the age of 8 will not be permitted entry to any of the pools; they must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 16.

  • One adult may accompany up to 2 children under the age of 8 to the main pool. Ideally, children under the age of 5 should be accompanied on a 1:1 basis.

  • If children are between 8 and 10 years of age they have to be able to swim over 25 metres competently, otherwise an adult (over 16) must accompany them.

  • If children are over 10 years of age they do not need to be able to swim, but if they can't they must stay in the shallow end and inform a lifeguard.

  • Accompanying adults must not leave children under the age of 8 unattended or beyond eye contact.

  • One adult may accompany up to 2 children under the age of 5 or 4 children between the ages of 5 and 8 in the learner pool only.
