Many doctors prescribe exercise for the treatment of stress related conditions. Physical activity often helps to relieve the symptoms of anxiety. If you find it hard to get started then joining a class can help motivate you and make it more fun. A balance of aerobic and strength exercises in a personal programme written especially for you by one of our fitness advisors can help you both physically and mentally.

Less mobile – but still wanting to improve your fitness?

Swimming and our Aquafit classes are perfect for the less mobile. The water supports your body weight, and cushions you. There is no impact on your joints, but you can still improve your muscle strength and benefit your heart and lungs. Swimming ability is not required for the Aquafit class, and it is very popular across all age ranges.
